December 2022

A super day at Easton & Barnaby CS on 4th December for Claire Jones whose 10 month old Clairdale Fusilier aka James was BOB, BPIB, HG1 and HPG1. To top it off he went on to win RBPIS. The judge was Deborah Ellrich.

James is pictured right at the Welsh Beagle Club in September.

SBC members were in the top awards at LKA on 11th December, the last championship show of 2022. Judge Neil Stevens had an excellent entry for his first time awarding CCs.

Susan Arden’s Annavah Star Above Madika (above left) won her first CC and BOB. Samantha Goldberg’s Rossut Villein at Molesend (above right) was BPIB at just 6 months and 3 days old. Pictured right is Jo Norris and Marion Hunt’s Ch Shercroft Apollo JW ShCM who was BVIB. For the second year running the RBCC was brought back to Scotland by Hazel Deans’ Gempeni Cornflower who also passed her KC Good Citizen Bronze test on the day.

Instead of the usual SBC Christmas hamper this year’s winner receives a box of Thornton’s chocolates and £40 of Tesco vouchers.

Congratulations to the lucky winner Marina Walker.

Who said beagles can’t be trained?

Luisa Fallon’s ‘Boss’ certainly proves they can. Not only has he been successful in the show ring and at agility he has just competed in his first Rally Obedience competition. Held on 11th December and run by Leven DTC, Boss not only came 3rd in the Level 1/2 class, but was the only beagle, with all other places being taken by more ‘traditional’ obedience breeds such as collies.

Congratulations to Luisa Fallon and ‘Boss’ who had another successful day on Sunday 18th December. This time it was a trip down to Newcastle for Phase Purple Agility show where Boss came 1st in G4 Jumping.
