January 2022

The first Championship show of 2022 was Boston. Hounds were judged on Sat 8th January.

The judge of beagles (without CCs) was Mrs Jacqui Ward. Best of Breed and Best Puppy went to David Craig’s Ch Bayard Glory Bee and Davricard Marcia respectively. The Havard’s did the Reserve double with Dufosee Isacc RBD and Ch Annavah Buttercup RBB.

Congratulations to Serena Parker and Graham Stevens’ Ch Serenaker Armani (pictured right) who has made a lovely start to 2022 by winning BEST IN SHOW at Heywood & Radcliffe open show held on 9th January.

The breed judge was Samantha McBain, group judge Diane Stewart-Ritchie and BIS judge Mr D Hutchinson. Serena also won RBOB with Sereanker Agatha Raisin.

Another lovely result for ‘Boss’ aka Newlin Rambler who came 4th out of 58 in Combined 1-4 Jumping at Wilmslow Agility show on 15th January. Well worth the early morning start to get there! Boss is 2 years old and is loving his agility say proud owners Luisa Fallon and Gregor Watson.

There was an excellent entry of 110 at Manchester on 23rd January, the first championship show of the year with CCs on offer for beagles. Judge Helen Wayman was awarding CCs in beagles for the first time and found her DCC and BOB winner in Serena Parker and Graham Stevens’ Ch Serenaker Armani. Arnie is 17 months old and this was his 4th CC. David Craig’s Ch Bayard Glory Bee took the first BCC of 2022, continuing her 2021 success, this being her 7th CC. RBCC went to the Havard’s Ch Annavah Buttercup who also had a very successful 2021. David Caig bred the RDCC and BPIB winner Davricard Milton at Dialynne who went on to further success in the main ring taking PG4.

Arnie went on to take G2 in a lovely hound ground judged by Graham Hill.
