Two Championship shows were held over the weekend of 9th and 10th July.

At EAST OF ENGLAND beagles were judged by Tim Jones. Three owned by SBC members took top awards - RDCC - Parker & Stevens’ Ch Serenaker Armani, BCC Craig’s Ch Bayard Glory Be and BPIB Bridgeman & Logue’s Kingswin Bug ‘A’ Lugs.

The following day THE BEAGLE ASSOCIATION celebrated their Diamond Anniversary year. Judging in the very hot weather was Jen Davies. Ch Serenaker Armani won another RDCC and went on to win RBIS. Taking her 4th CC from junior was the Havard’s Annavah Princess Tiana with Ch Bayard Glory Be taking the RBCC. BPIS went to Samantha Goldberg’s Molesend Dormouse ably handled by Marina Walker in Sam’s absence.

The HOUND ASSOCIATION Championship show was held at Stafford on 16th July. Judged by Lorna Binks from Scotland, BCC and BOB went to David Craig’s Ch Bayard Glory Be. David also took the DCC with Ch Davricard Jacob with the RDCC going to Christine Lewis’ Fallowfield Vincent. Best BVIB went to Marion Hunt and Jo Norris’ Ch Shercroft Apollo JW ShCM.

On the same day as the Houndshow there was more success for Luisa Fallon’s ‘Boss’ ( Newlin Rambler).

At the Scottish Beardie Club’s agility show at Errol Boss won 1st in Grade 4 Jumping, 1st in Grade 4 Agility then to top it off was 3rd in the Showtime Novice C3-5 Qualifyer which earns him an invite to the Showtime Novice Cup Final in August.

At LEEDS Championship show on 24th July David Craig’s Ch Davricard Jacob won his 26th CC, BOB and G3. Breed judge was Mrs F Hanney-Mitchell and Mr J Horswell judged the group.

Susan Arden’s Madika Spot On JW ShCM AW(G) won BVIB but was unable to compete in the veteran group as it coincided with the judging of Border Counties Hound Club open show.

Congratulations to owner/breeder Rachel Cuthill-Thomson whose Divinebrae Mickey Finn was awarded Reserve Best Special Minor Puppy In Show at Turriff District Agricultural Association Open Dog Show on the last day of the month. The BIS judge was Mr Jim McGhie and the hound judge was Marina White.
