A lovely bitch who was born 13 years before my first beagle. I’ve therefore only seen her through photographs, heard the stories from the older hands and admired her record of 24 CC’s. This headshot is almost iconic and I have two other reasons to include her here ; she’s Scottish and a Tan and White!

No surprise really to see Beau’s parents featured here. Bethan was another shown before my time, attaining her title at only 20 months. I have many photos of this wee cracker in her prime and knew her as a more mature girl who was always active and seemed full of mischief right up to the end of her 14 ½ years.

I went along to watch my first dog show at Perth and ended up chatting to a couple called Barbara and Sandy Purves. I was most impressed with the boy they were showing that day - Beau. I later came to dread him turning up at shows when I finally started exhibiting his daughter as he was a hard one to beat! A smart dog with lovely movement.

Nothing much can be said about Mikey that hasn’t been said already. A beautiful animal, and what a record.
Ch Donay Kappa
Well, I had to stick one of mine in - and it balances up the tan and white / tri columns! Benny is my faithful little hound dog - and an ultimate “character.” He is the breadwinner amongst my beagles having earned enough to feed the rest for several years from his work as a company mascot. With a name like Armani maybe he was meant to be a model!
At my first Crufts I sat nervously awaiting the bitch classes and watched an impressive youngster win the Puppy Dog class. Looking at the catalogue I noted his name - Donay Kappa. Hisname stuck in my head and Iwatched or read of his progress throughout the years, eventually winning 6 CC’s. I was pleased to get the chance to photograph him (above) winning BVIS at our Champ show in 2008.
