The first news of the month comes from the penultimate championship show of 2022 which was WEST MERCIA BEAGLE CLUB held on 6th November at Wolverhampton racecourse. The judge was Mrs D Randles (Janfrey). Winning her 15th CC and BIS was David Craig’s Ch Bayard Glory Bee. Claire Jones’ Ch Newlin Preston to Clairdale JW was awarded his fifth CC and RBIS. BPIS went to Lorna Binks’ 9 month old Tannahill Yasmine.

A lovely photo of Boss (Newlin Rambler AW(B) showing off his rosette and trophy from Performance Agility Training open agility show held over the weekend of 19th and 20th November. It was a successful weekend away in North Yorkshire for Gregor Watson, Luisa Fallon and Boss who won 1st in G4 Jumping.

The BEAGLE ASSOCIATION BEAGLE OF THE YEAR COMPETITION was held at the Chesford Grange Hotel in Kenilworth on Sunday 27th November. There were three categories - Veterans, Puppies and CC winners. To qualify  participants had to win a veteran/vintage dog/bitch class, best puppy dog/best puppy bitch, or a DCC/BCC between 1st November 2021 and 31st October 2022. The judges for each category were kept secret until the day of the competition.

Pictured right with judge Barbara Roderick are the winners of the CC category. Best DCC winner was Serena Parker & Graham Stevens’ Ch Serenaker Armani who went on to win BEAGLE OF THE YEAR. Best BCC winner was Hazel Deans’ Gempeni Cornflower.
