The second day of CITY OF BIRMINGHAM Championship show took place at Stoneleigh on 2nd September where the judge of beagles was Mr K Sinclair. Winning his 11th CC and Best of Breed was Parker & Stevens’ Ch Serenaker Armani. The Havards’ Annavah Princess Tiana was awarded her 5th CC then went on to win Hound Junior G1 judged by Mr T Nagrecha. Tiana returned on the final day and won BEST JUNIOR IN SHOW. Huge Congratulations!

The above owners also did well in the Stakes classes with Ch S Armani winning the Open Stakes (dogs) and the same result for A Princess Tiana in the Yearling Stakes (bitches), both judged by Mr D Smith. Ch A Felix was 5th in Veteran Stakes and Ch A Buttercup 1st in Champion Stakes, both judged by Mr M Armstrong.

RICHMOND Championship show opted to go ahead with the show, following the death of HM Queen Elizabeth II on the 8th September.

Beagles were judged on Saturday 10th by Deryck Player. David Craig’s Ch Davricard Jacob won his 30th DCC. The Havard’s Ch Annavah Princess Tiana won her 6th CC and BOB. Following a very successful puppy career Samantha Goldberg’s Molesend Dormouse was awarded her first RCC. Tiana went on to win HG4 judged by Mrs C.E. Cartledge.

Six years ago Jackie Fraser’s Wyvisview Harlequin won Best In Show at Lochaber & DCS Open show. Six years later on 11th September and ‘Birdie’ wins BEST VETERAN IN SHOW. Hound judge was Jane Maxwell and BIS judge was John Ritchie. Definitely a lucky show for ‘Birdie’!

FOUR COUNTIES BEAGLE CLUB held their Championship show in conjunction with DARLINGTON Championship show on Friday 16th September. Four Counties was judged by Mr Mike Caple and Darlington by Mr Graham Hill.

Ch Serenaker Armani and Ch Annavah Princess Tiana were successful at both. Armani won both DCCs, was BOB at Darlington and RBIS at Four Counties. Tiana won the RBCC at Darlington and BCC and BIS at Four Counties. RBCC at Four Counties went to Samantha Goldberg’s Molesend Crumble. Susan Arden’s Madika Spot On JW ShCM AW(G) (pictured left at Driffield) did the veteran double winning BVIB at Darlington and BVIS at Four Counties.

SBC members had a good day at The WELSH BEAGLE CLUB Championship show on 25th September. The last outdoor show of the year was lucky to enjoy good dry weather.
